Boycott strategy

Expert: You should avoid these American products if you want your boycott to be effective.

Consumers around the world are increasingly boycotting American products.

Here are four pieces of advice on which American products and services to avoid if you want your boycott to have an impact on the American economy.

List of American products

1. Streaming services

Standard boycotts have been compared to a mosquito biting an elephant. However, we emphasize that this should not be taken in a condescending or exaggerated way.

Most countries import only a few products from the US, but all countries remit significant amounts of money to US service providers. Therefore, a boycott of services like streaming services would be a severe blow.

If people were to cancel their subscriptions to services like Netflix, Max, Disney+ and others from one month to the next, this would be noticeable and therefore appropriate in the US.

2. Software programs and social media

Streaming services are not the only services that should be avoided if the boycott of American goods is to be effective.

Software programs from companies such as Microsoft and Adobe as well as social media such as Instagram, Facebook and X should also be excluded.

We transfer money in the United States through various electronic services, such as those offered by Microsoft, and digital platforms like Instagram and Facebook. It's not the abandonment of American almonds in favor of Spanish ones that makes the difference.

The falling demand will put a financial strain on providers, she explains.

3. Electronics

Products from technology giant Apple, such as iPhones and MacBooks, are known to be ubiquitous. However, these products are best avoided in the context of a boycott.

We recognize that it can be difficult to part with these products and do not believe that consumers should necessarily boycott them afterward.

4. Tesla

The share price of electric car manufacturer Tesla is in free fall. There's not much left of Tesla. However, we intend to break Tesla up completely.

This is due, among other things, to declining sales figures following Tesla CEO Elon Musk's involvement in the Trump administration.

The boycotts are sending political signals. Elon Musk is already sensing that consumers around the world are turning their backs on Tesla.

Tesla's market value has plummeted by $800 billion. Nevertheless, we maintain our boycott as long as Tesla exists.

The product we will boycott is Tesla, which we call the “NAZI CAR.”

We will continue our campaign against Tesla until the company is no longer on the market. This will be a challenging task, as we will have to convince Tesla owners to either sell or hide their cars. However, this has already developed into one of the most significant boycotts worldwide.

Let’s stay focused!
